Earth Month Challenge
This April, we joined the Pet Sustainability Coalition’s Earth Month Challenge, a reminder that small steps can drive real change. From gifting our team recycled thermos mugs to a clean-up around our HQ, (we collected 20 kg of waste together). On top of that, many of our colleagues went the extra mile by cycling to work. Small actions, big impact. And we’re proud to keep moving forward.
Where sustainability meets charity
As part of our Green Pact, we work to reduce material waste and keep production efficient. During color transitions, some items get unique color blends, perfectly usable, but not fit for sale. Instead of discarding them, we donate these products to charities. A wide selection went to the organisation 'Greater Good Charities', where the items were immediately used in areas of need.
On the road
This year, we once again attended several trade shows, with Zoomark and Global Pet Expo among the highlights. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to discover our latest novelties. It’s always great to meet in person, have real conversations, and showcase what’s new.
Sustainability Report 2024
As you already know, sustainability is a key priority for us. On 1 May 2025, we published our second sustainability report, a project we’re incredibly proud of. This year, we even submitted it for the Belgian Awards for Sustainability Reports in the SME category, organised by the Belgian Institute of Registered Auditors. Unfortunately, we didn't win, but with the insights we picked up during the ceremony, we’re aiming even higher with our third report!
Vanguard Award Winner!
We’re thrilled to have received a new Pet Insight Vanguard Award, this time for an entire product category: Litter Boxes! The awards celebrate leadership, innovation, and strong partnerships in the pet industry. It’s an honor to be recognized among other inspiring brands, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing clients, partners, and community.
New collaboration: Association Chiens Guides d’Aveugles
At MODERNA, we proudly support organizations improving life for both people and pets, across borders. Through our partnership with 'Association Chiens Guides d’Aveugles' in France, we visited their Roncq facility, met the dedicated team, and saw firsthand the incredible bond between guide dogs and their future companions. We continue to support their mission with product donations and ongoing collaboration.

Every department, team, and employee contributed showing what we can achieve together.
